Old Police Station

Old Police Station, LinsladeLocation
Wing Road, Linslade

History
The old police station used to contain the inspector's house, three cells and a police court, it has subsequently been converted into private flats.

The police station became national news following the Great Train Robbery. On 8th August 1963, 15 masked men held up the night train from Glasgow to London. This took place at Bridego Bridge between Linslade and Cheddington and over £2.5 million was taken. Within a month police managed to make a number of arrests and the individuals (including Ronnie Biggs and Charlie Wilson) were brought to the Magistrate's Court at this building to be remanded in custody for trial at Aylesbury Assize Court.
