March 20 day 1647
In the name of God Amen: I Jane Nutting of Stanbridge in the County
of Bedford Widdow, being sick in body but of good and perfect memory
doe make constitute and ordaine this my last will and testament
in manner and forme following vizt. First I bequeath my soule
into the handes of Allmighty god beseeching him to receive it even
for the merittes, of his deare Sonne Jesus Christ my onely Savio[ur]
and Redeemer, And my body I comitt to the earth from whence it
came And as touching my temporall Estate I dispose the same as
\hereafter/ followeth. Item I give unto Robert Nutting my Grandsonne
five poundes of lawfull money of England when he shall accomplish
the age of one and twentie yeares. Item I give unto Jane Nutting
my Grandaughter five poundes of like lawfull money when shee shall
attaine to the age of one and twentie yeares. I give unto William
Conquest my Grandsonne twenty poundes when he shall attaine to
the age of one and twentie yeares. Item I give unto Jane Conquest
my Grandaughter twenty poundes within two yeares after my decease.
Item I give unto John Iremonger my Grandsonne five poundes within
six monethes next after my decease, Item I give unto Dorothy Lynford
Forty shillinges within six monethes next after my decease, Item
I give unto my servant Edward Bride five poundes. Item I give five
poundes to the poore of Stanbridge to be distributed by them within
one moneth next after my decease, Item I give ten gold Ringes to
those ten p[er]sons of the vallue of nine poundes that I have nominated
to my daughter Iremonger. Item my will and intent is that what
charges soever that Mr. Lugar and Mr. Francis Bedcott shall be
putt to for councill in the law, or otherwise concerning the settling
and disposeing of the house and landes formerly by mee granted
to them by Indenture shalbe defrayed and borne by my daughter
Jane Iremonger, Item as for and concerning all the rest of my goodes
and chattells whatsoever unbequeathed, I give unto my daughter
Jane Iremonger, whom I make whole Executrix of this my last will
and testament, shee paying the legacies above mentioned discharging
my Funerall duties, and doeing all such other thinges as I have
privatly derected her In wittnes whereof I the said Jane Nutting
have hereunto putt my hand and seale dated the day and yeare first
above written Jane Nutting Sealed and delivered in the presence
of Edward Bride Anne Firsh Francis Bedcott
