Anno D[o]m[ini] 1643 September the 17th
In the name of God Amen I Richard
Impee of Stanbridge in the parish of Leighton Bussard in the county
of Bedford weaver being sicke in body but thankes bee \un/to god
in good and perfect remembrance doe make and ordeyne this my last
will and testament in manner and forme as followeth First I give
and bequeath my soule into the handes of Almighty god my maker trustinge
in and through the death and meritts of my blessed saviour the Lord
Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and redeemer to have eternall and
everlasting life And my body I commit \un/to earth from whence it
came And as for my temporall estate \which/ it hath pleased god
to blesse me as as followeth \that is to say/ First I give to Alice
my wellbeloved wife my house and my five acres of land with all
and singuler their appertenances profits comons and commodities
whatsoever belonging or in any wise appertaininge for and dureinge
the terme of naturall life And after the decease of my said wife
I give my aforesaid house and ground and my aforesaid five acres
of land with all and singular their and every of their appertenances
and profitts whatsoever belonginge, to my sonne Richard Impee
and to his heires and assignes for ever upon this condition that
hee shall pay such legacies unto his brothers and sisters as
shall bee hereafter expressed that is to say first my will is
that my \said/ sonne Richard Impee shall pay unto my sonne John
Impee five shillinges a yeare at two dayes or payments in the
yeare that is to say upon the five and twentieth day of march
and the nine and twentieth day of September by even and equall
portions the first payment to be \paid/ within \one/ halfe a
yeare after my wifes decease and soe my will is that my said
sonne Richard his heirs and assignes shall pay my sonne John
the said five shillings a yeare upon the dayes aforesaid for
and dureinge the terme of his naturall life Item my will is that
my sonne Richard Impee shall pay unto my sone William Impee six
pounds thirteene shillings and foure pence to be paid unto him
within one yeare after my \wifes/ decease Item my will is that
my said sonne Richard shall pay unto my sonne Thomas six pound
thirteene shillinges and foure pence to bee paid within two yeares
after my decease. Item my will is that my sonne Richard shall
pay unto my sonne Andrew six pounds thirteene shillings and foure
pence to bee paid within three yeares after my wifes decease:
Item my will is that my said sonne Richard shall pay unto my
daughter Joane Impee six poundes thirteene shillings and foure
pence to bee payd unto her within halfe a yeare after my wifes
decease. Item my will is that my said sonne Richard Impee shall
pay unto my daughter Elizabeth Impee six pounde thirteene shillings
and foure pence to bee paid to her within a yeare and a halfe
after my wifes decease Item my will is that my said sonne Richard
Impee shall pay unto my daughter Anne Impee six pounds thirteene
shillings and foure pence to bee paid her within a yeare and
a halfe after my wifes decease Item my will is that my said sonne
Richard Impee shall pay unto my daughter Susanna Impee six poundes
thirteene shillings and foure pence to bee paid to her within
a yeare and a halfe after my wifes decease And further my will
is that if my said sonne Richard Impee shall refuse to pay all
or any of the aforesaid legacies then my will is and I doe give
unto my said sonne William Impee his heires and assignes for
ever \All/ the aforesaid house and ground and five acres of land
he payeinge the aforesaid Legacies at the times before expressed
unto his brothers and sisters and payeinge six pound thirteen
shillinges and foure pence within one yeare after my wifes decease
All the rest of my goods unbequeathed my body beinge decently
buried and my debts paid I give unto Alice my well beloved wife
whom I doe make and ordeyne my Executrix of this my last will
and testament In witnes whereof I hereunto sett my hand and
seale the day and yeare above written Richard Impee his marke
