In the name of God Amen, I Francis Winton of Layghton Buzard in the Countie of Bedf[ord] gent[leman] being weake and ill in bodie but I thanke my god in good & perfect memory doe make and ordaine this my last will & testam[e]nt in manner following First my soule into the handes of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer in assured hope of a ioyfull & happy resurrec[i]on and my bodie to be buried at the discrec[i]on of my loveing wife whome I make & appoint my full & sole executrix; And for those worldly thinges that I doe possesse which the lord of heaven hath afforded me And first I give and bequeath unto Rebecca my youngest daughter a Close pightell or orchard of freehould called Stockinges lyeing and being within towne parrish or feilde of Houghton Regis in the foresaid Countie of Bedford and to her heires and assignes forever Item I give and dispose the messuage or tenement wherein I live And alsoe that wherein my mother Iremonger doth inhabit withall the outhouses barnes stables Backsides Gardens and appurtenances to either of the said two dwellinges belonging or in any wise appertayning I meane the reverc[i]on proffitt & remaynder in them after the tyme which Mris. Sigswick is satisfied a debt which is oweing unto her which I take to be the sume of Fyftie fower poundes And alsoe twentie poundes to Mr. Edward Wilkes of Laighton aforesaid After which sumes being satisfied then to the proper use and benefitt of Sara and Rebecca my daughters and to their heyres and to the longer liver of them forever. All the rest of my goodes and Chattles I give and bequeath to my Executrix before named In witnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hande and seale the sixe and twentieth of March one thousand six hundred Forrtie three Fra[ncis] Winton Signed published and delivered in the presence of Edw[ard] Wilkes and William Turney Ex.? [Esquire?] /.
