Comment: What can I say that hasn't already been said...a wonderful site that I have visited many times. I find the layout of the census very useful for piecing families together. I have learnt so much about Heath and Reach and Linslade where a branch of my family comes from. My family interests are HACK/PARSONS/BOWLER AND ROADS. Any contact will be welcomed.

Comment: We lived in Linslade, 50, Roseberry Ave, from 1966 to 1970, when we moved to Doncaster. Douglas was the minister of Linslade Methodist Church, and other Methodist churches in various villages around Leighton-Linslade. We were very friendly with the Marriott family who lived across the Road from us in Roseberry Avenue, if anyone knows them please put us in touch again. Mary was very good to me when my youngest son was born at home. If anyone else reading this remembers us please get in touch. We are now retired in Worthing, West Sussex. Heather

Comment: Hi, this is a strange request. I live in Canada and am trying to research my "English roots" for a family tree. Upon sorting through some of my grandfather's papers I have found an envelope he used to save papers in. This envelope was from someone named "Attenborough" and the address reads "Fourfields, Tebworth Road, Hockliffe, L/B, Beds, England". I think the postal ink stamp reads 79 for the year 1979. The postage adds up to 65p. I have also found a "J. Attenborough" listed in his little phone book with the same address, however, instead of "L/B" it says "Exc-Leighton Buzzard", which brought me here. The phone number is "0525) 210-804". I have a lost link in my family on my grandmother's side and I wonder if this might be it. My grandmother had a sister Hannah HOPPS (nee: WALKER) who my grandfather continued to keep in contact with after my grandmother's death. Hannah had a daughter, Jean, and I wonder if "J. Attenborough" could be Jean. Hannah died in 1979 and I would really like to contact Jean or her descendants to fill in the gaps in our tree. If there is anyone who could help in anyway or offer advice, please email me at Thank you! Julie
